Thank you for expressing interest in joining the Red Hook Golf Club. Having been established in 1931 as a 9- hole course, we are currently celebrating our 77th year. Over the recent years, our course has expanded to a terrific 18 - hole course and our clubhouse has undergone major improvement and expansion.
As you peruse our website, (www.redhookgolfclub.com) you may obtain our current dues schedule by clicking the highlighted link. I am sure this information will be helpful to you as you consider membership at RHGC.
Please note that we do have a number of membership categories from which to choose. We are sure that one of these plans will fit your needs and schedule.
Some of the benefits of membership at RHGC include golfing privileges (reduced rates for cart rentals), preferred tee times (up to one week in advance), league and tournament play, access to our clubhouse and locker room facility and unlimited use of our practice driving range and putting greens. Private lockers and club/cart storage are also available at an additional nominal cost.
Tee times are restricted to non-members on Fridays after 1 pm and on weekends and holidays before 1 pm.
For the 2008 season only, we are waiving the initiation fee and mandatory ownership of stock. This is a limited offer and we suggest you take advantage of it ASAP. 2008 Membership Special - Effective immediately, a new member can join the Club and pay PRORATED MEMBERSHIP DUES. For example, if you join the Club in July, your dues will be 5/8's of the 2008 rate published in your membership category listed on the Membership Dues page.
We sincerely hope that you will decide to join us. You will find our staff always willing to help and make your golfing experience an enjoyable one. Our PGA professional, John Mahon, is also always striving to share his talents by being available for private lessons, club fitting and repair, and offering the newest golf equipment and merchandise. Also, our grounds crew work diligently to keep our course in excellent condition.
As our course continues to mature, it is being recognized as a true test of a golfer's ability; as such, our course has been used for the qualifying site of play for the New York State and Dutchess County Men's Amateur Championships, as well as serving as the site for the Dutchess County Men's Senior Amateur Championship. This year the Metropolitan Golf Association will be re-evaluating the course's slope ratings and if there are changes, the new ratings will be released prior to the 2009 golfing season.
