Date:  Saturday September 7, 2019 (sign up by Thursday September 5th) ** Weather Permitting **

Time: Make Your Own Tee Times w/ Pro Shop

Cost: $10 / person

Format:

  • 2-Person Teams
  • Holes #1 – #6: Scramble
    • Both team members tee off. Select best drive, and then both team members hit shots from that location.  Repeat this process until ball is holed out.  Record score.
  • Holes #7 – #12: 2-Person Better Ball
    • Each player plays own ball, record best score on each hole amongst both players
  • Holes #13 – #18: Alternate Shot
    • Prior to teeing off of #13, decide which team member will tee off from “ODD” numbered holes and which one will tee off from “EVEN” numbered holes. Alternate taking turns hitting shots until ball is holed out, and record score.
  • Men play from WHITE tees, Women play from RED tees
  • Prizes for both Gross and Net, ProShop credit payouts dependent on number of teams signed up

  • 4 Rounds of Match Play (field of 16 per Flight, with possible “byes” depending on signup)
  • Flights will be determined by handicap based on signup
  • Men’s Championship Flight = Blue Tees
  • All other Men’s Flights = White Tees
  • Women’s Flight = Red Tees
  • A “Beaten 8’s” Flight will be created after RD1 for all Men’s Flights

RHGC Big-Little Tournament

Date:  Saturday July 27, 2019  ** Weather Permitting **

Time:  3:00 PM (shotgun on the Front 9)

Cost:  $5 / person

Open to all members and their children/grandchildren/nieces/nephews/etc.  Geared towards children between ages of 5 to 14, but any ages are welcome.  (The nominal $5 fee/person goes directly toward a hot dog barbecue / chicken fingers and snacks/refreshments that will immediately follow play.  So anyone looking to partake in the barbecue/snacks/refreshments needs to pay this nominal $5/each fee.  The normal restaurant menu will be available at your own cost as well.)

A complimentary cart will be provided to the adult member for this event to help with the pace of play, carrying clubs, and to hopefully help with the children not losing interest as we try to get through 9 holes….the forecast is for high temperatures in the upper 80’s. 

 At the conclusion of the event, there will be fun games/events near the practice putting green and patio behind the 18th hole.

Please Note:  When signing up for this event, please indicate how many children will be attending with you, and their names.

 

Format:  The format for this fun event is to simply play golf with the children.  The concept is for all to have fun and to get the children out onto the course and accompany their parent/grandparent/etc.  (Children playing in the event must be accompanied by an adult to supervise them while on the course.  This is not a drop off where the children are to be left unattended!)
