FHF Fund Raiser

Friends Helping Friends of Rhinebeck

Join the CJ’s gang and help change lives. In cooperation with other local businesses and with a whole lot of help from the public, CJ’s sponsors an ANNUAL benefit called Friends Helping Friends. While we have participated in raising funds for non profit organizations such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in past years, we are now also reaching out to help those that need it most…our family members and friends within our community.

Club Championship II

2018 RHGC Men’s Club Championship Flyer

Date:               August 11th, 12th, 18th, & 19th

(sign up by Thursday August 9th)

** Weather Permitting **

Time:               Assigned by Pro Shop

Cost:                $20 / person

Similar to how the RHGC Men’s Club Championship was conducted in 2016, and based on membership input, the Tournament Committee has voted to conduct this year’s Club Championship in the following manner:

The first round (Saturday August 11th) of this year’s Men’s Club Championship will be conducted as a Medal Play qualifier (gross scores).  Your qualifying round score will then be used to establish your seed within an 8-person match play bracket within the respective flights.

For those interested in competing in the Championship Flight:

  • Entrance into the Championship Flight qualifying round is optional and open to all male members regardless of handicap. The golfer must simply indicate to the ProShop when signing up that they are attempting to qualify for the Championship Flight.
  • All play in the Championship Flight qualifier will be from the Blue Tees (all other flights will play from the White Tees).
  • The low 8 medal play scores within the Championship Flight qualifying round will move on to the Match Play bracketed field of 8 for the overall Club Championship.
  • The seeding of the Championship Flight will be based on the results of the qualifying round.
  • In case of ties for the seeds within the Championship Flight, the individual with the lower handicap index will receive the lower seed. In case of ties for the 8th and final spot for the Championship Flight, a playoff will be conducted by the Head Pro at his discretion.
  • For those individuals who competed in the Championship Flight qualifier but did not finish in the top 8, they will be positioned into their respective flights based on (a) handicap and then (b) qualifying score*. *The qualifying score will be adjusted accordingly based on course slope and rating between the blue and white tees.

For those NOT interested in competing in the Championship Flight:

  • Sign up in ProShop and indicate that you are NOT interested in the Championship Flight
  • Based on overall sign-up (by end of day Thursday August 9th), Flights will be determined by Handicap Index by the ProShop.
  • Upon conclusion of the respective Flight qualifying round(s), the ProShop will seed the Flights based on the results of the one-day medal play qualifier (gross scores). The qualifying round is simply to determine your seed within the Flight.  You do not move out of the Flight based on either a really good or really bad qualifying round score.

The remaining three rounds (August 12th, 18th, 19th) will be conducted using an 8-person single elimination match-play bracket (gross only) for each respective Flight.  A “Beaten 4’s” bracket will be created so that everyone gets to play the most golf possible for the two weekends.

Big-Little

2018 RHGC Big-Little
Date: Saturday July 28, 2018
** Weather Permitting **

Time: 3:00 PM (shotgun on the Front 9)

Cost: $5 / person

Open to all members and their children/grandchildren/nieces/nephews/etc. Geared towards children between ages of 5 to 14, but any ages are welcome.

(The nominal $5 fee/person goes directly toward the hot dog barbecue and snacks/refreshments that will immediately follow play. So anyone looking to partake in the barbecue/snacks/refreshments needs to pay this nominal fee.)

A complimentary cart will be provided to the adult member for this event to help with the pace of play, carrying clubs, and to hopefully help with the children not losing interest as we try to get through 9 holes….

At the conclusion of the event, there will be a hot-dog barbecue with snacks and refreshments. There will also be fun games and events near the practice putting green and patio behind the 18th hole. (A cash menu is also available from The Clubhouse Restaurant for additional items….$5 entry fee only covers the hot dog barbecue and refreshments/snacks.)

Please Note: When signing up for this event, please indicate how many children will be attending with you, and their names.

Format:
• The format for this fun event is To Be Determined. The concept is for all to have fun and to get the children out onto the course and accompany their parent/grandparent/etc. (Children playing in the event must be accompanied by an adult to supervise them while on the course. This is not a drop off where the children are to be left unattended!)
