2017 RHGC Member Tournament Schedule

Thanks to the work of the RHGC Tournament Committee, the 2017 Member Tournament schedule is now available.

We are in the process of updating the Events section.  We will provide a link to an electronic, shareable calendar (e.g. iCal) in the near future.  You will able to synchronize with the most updated version of the schedule on many of your electronic devices.

We hope and expect that all of our eligible members will plan their golf seasons accordingly so they can participate in as many events as possible and win the Red Hook Cup in 2017!

9-hole 4-person Scramble followed by dinner in The Club Restaurant & Bar.  Sign you team up today!

Please indicate if your team would like riding carts as there will be limited availability.

Red Hook Ryder Cup

2017 RHGC Ryder Cup

Date:  Saturday October 7th / Sunday October 8th (sign up by Thursday October 5th) ** Weather Permitting **

Time:  Saturday and Sunday Tee Times (starting @ 9:06 am — every 8 min. thereafter)

Cost: $15 / person

Format:

  • Sign up individually in the Pro Shop
  • Team “USA” and Team “EUROPE” will be selected by Head Pro Doug Wiltsie and Assistant
    Pro Chris Sanger based on the complete sign-up
  • Teams and Saturday match ups will be announced in the afternoon on Friday, October 6th
  • Doug and Chris will be the respective playing captains
  • Saturday, October 7th
    • Front 9 = Better Ball
    • Back 9 = Modified Alternate Shot (everyone will tee off, select best drive and alternate from that point forward based on you hit the tee shot)
  • Sunday, October 8th
    • Singles
      • Men play from WHITE tees, Women play from RED tees
  • RED HOOK CUP POINTS FOR MATCHES WON, TEAM WIN, & PARTICIPATION (see Pro Shop
    for details)
  • Appetizers will be included following SATURDAY play (cash bar)

Par 3 Tournament

Date:  Saturday September 30th (sign up by Thursday September 28th) ** Weather Permitting **
Time: SHOTGUN @ 2:30 PM
Cost: $15/member ($25/guest of member), Guest must play with a Member, Carts not included
Format:
· 2-Person Better Ball Medal Play
· 18 Holes
· All play from the designated Par 3 Tournament Tees
· Pro Shop credit payouts dependent on number of teams signed up
· Cost includes barbecue after the round (cash bar)

Mixed Twosome Tournament

Date:  Saturday September 23, 2017 (sign up by Thursday September 21st) ** Weather Permitting **
Time:  SHOTGUN @ 1:30 PM
Cost:  $20/member ($40/guest of member), Guest must play with a Member, Carts not included
Format: 

· 2-Person Better Ball (play your own ball throughout the 18 holes, take the better of the two scores between teammates)
· Team must consist of 1 male and 1 female
· 18 Holes
· Women play from RED tees, Men play from WHITE tees
· Prizes for both Gross and Net, Pro Shop credit payouts dependent on number of teams

The Hildreth

2017 “The Hildreth” Fall Member-Member Tournament

The 2017 RHGC Tournament Committee invites all Members to compete in the 2017 edition of “The Hildreth” Fall Member-Member Tournament.  Pair up with one of your fellow Members for this mixed format, team competition.

Saturday, September 9th
Registration Deadline Thursday, September 7th

** Weather Permitting **
Make Your Own Tee Times with Pro Shop
$10 / Player

Format:

  • 2-person Teams
  • Holes #1-#6: Scramble
    • Both team members tee off, select best drive of the two, then both team members hit shots from that location.  Repeat this process until ball is holed.  Record score.
  • Holes #7-#12: Best Ball
    • Each player plays own ball and team records best score of the two for each hole.
  • Holes #13-#18: Alternate Shot
    • Prior to teeing off on #13, team decides who will tee off from the ODD numbered holes and who will tee off from the EVEN numbered ones.  Team members then alternate taking turns hitting shots until ball is holed.  Record score.
  • Men = White Tees
  • Women = Red Tees
  • Prizes for both Gross and Net
    • Pro Shop credit payouts dependent on number of teams participating.
