Cost: $160 / 2-Person Team

Format:

  • 2-Person Better Ball (1-Member, 1-Guest), 18 Holes with Individual Carts
  • Open to both Female and Male participants (divisions for both)
  • Members and Guests shall be from NYS or the Non-Quarantine States as published by NYS
  • Limited to the first 36 teams that sign up and pay in full (72 players total)
  • Player tournament gift
  • Cost includes breakfast, and barbecue (following play)
  • Cost includes automatic entry into Gross and Net Better Ball Team Event, Individual Skins (both Gross and Net), and all Closest To The Pin contests
  • *Prize Pool will be based on number of teams participating
  • **Men play from WHITE tees, Women play from RED tees
  • **Hybrid tees for AGE+HANDICAP >= 90 in effect (must declare at time of registration, see Pro Shop for details)
If you signed up for the original Men’s Member-Guest, and intend on playing in The Invitational, we politely request that you call the Pro Shop to re-sign up.

 

Par 3 Tournament

Date: Saturday, September 19th (sign up by end of day Thursday, September 17th) ** Weather Permitting **

Time: Tee Times Blocked Off Starting At 10:00 AM through NOON (this is being done to control the pace of play in this type of modified teeing ground event, if event play gets intertwined with normal play then pace becomes an issue).
Group and Tee Time Requests within the Blocked Off Times must be made through Pro Shop, Head Pro will make final tee times.

Cost: $10/Member (cash) *Greens Fees apply to Twilight members who play prior to Twilight Time **Ridings carts on a first-come first-serve basis

Format:
•2-Person Better Ball Medal Play (no handicap strokes for this event)
•18 Holes
•All play from the designated Par 3 Tournament Tees
•Pro Shop credit payouts dependent on number of teams signed up

PLEASE NOTE:

THE PAR 3 TOURNAMENT SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH WILL BE FLIGHTED BASED ON COMBINED TEAM HANDICAP (INDEX).  THE NUMBER OF TEAMS IN EACH FLIGHT WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE PRO SHOP / COMMITTEE BASED ON SIGNUP.

Time: Make Your Own Tee Times w/ Pro Shop, must play with another team in the event

Cost: $10 / person, payable in CASH day of event (Club Credit not accepted for form of payment).  Green fees will apply for Twilight Members who opt to play before the adopted Twilight start time.  Carts are not included in the event and are first come first serve due to high demand

MUST HAVE 10 18-HOLE SCORES ENTERED INTO THE RED HOOK GOLF CLUB HANDICAP SYSTEM IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE (PLEASE BE FOREWARNED THAT THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED)

Format:

  • Format:
    • 2-Person Teams
      • Holes #1 – #6: Alternate Shot
        • Prior to teeing off of #1, decide which team member will tee off from “ODD” numbered holes and which one will tee off from “EVEN” numbered holes. Alternate taking turns hitting shots until ball is holed out, and record score.
      • Holes #7 – #12: 2-Person Better Ball
        • Each player plays own ball, record best score on each hole among both players
      • Holes #13 – #18: Scramble
        • Both team members tee off. Select best drive, and then both team members hit shots from that location.  Repeat this process until ball is holed out.  Record score.
    • Men play from WHITE tees, Women play from RED tees
    • HYBRID tees for eligible males (AGE + WHITE TEE HDCP >= 90), must announce HYBRID TEEs at time of signup
    • Prizes for both Gross and Net, Pro Shop credit payouts dependent on number of teams signed up

2020 Men’s Club Championship – II

Date: August 8th, 9th, 15th, & 16th (sign up by Thursday, August 6th)** Weather Permitting **

Time: AM tee times, assigned by Pro Shop, Twilight fee applies,

Cost: $20 / person (CASH ONLY, cannot use club credit or credit/debit card toward payment)

Similar to how the RHGC Men’s Club Championship was conducted in 2016 and 2018, and based on membership input, the Tournament Committee has voted to conduct this year’s Club Championship in the following manner:

The first round (Saturday August 8th) of this year’s Men’s Club Championship will be conducted as a Medal Play qualifier (gross scores).  Your qualifying round score will then be used to establish your seed within an 8-person match play bracket within the respective flights.

For those interested in competing in the Championship Flight:

  • Entrance into the Championship Flight qualifying round is optional and open to all male members regardless of handicap. The golfer must simply indicate to the Pro Shop when signing up that they are attempting to qualify for the Championship Flight.
  • All play in the Championship Flight qualifier will be from the Blue Tees (all other flights will play from the White Tees).
  • The low 8 medal play gross scores within the Championship Flight qualifying round will move on to the Match Play bracketed field of 8 for the overall Club Championship.
  • The seeding of the Championship Flight will be based on the results of the qualifying round.
  • In case of ties for the seeds within the Championship Flight, the individual with the lower USGA index will receive the lower seed. In case of ties for the 8th and final spot for the Championship Flight, a playoff will be conducted by the Head Pro at his discretion.
  • For those individuals who competed in the Championship Flight qualifier but did not finish in the top 8, they will be positioned into their respective flights based on (a) handicap and then (b) qualifying score*. *The qualifying score will be adjusted accordingly based on course slope and rating between the blue and white tees.

 For those NOT interested in competing in the Championship Flight:

  • Sign up in Pro Shop and indicate that you are NOT interested in the Championship Flight
  • Upon conclusion of the qualifying round, the Pro Shop will arrange the Flights based on the following level of order:

1) USGA Index, and then

2) the qualifying score of the one-day medal play qualifier (gross scores).

*Pro Shop and Tournament Committee will use discretion on how to settle ties if necessary to determine seeds within flights if still tied after 1) and 2) above

The remaining three rounds (August 9th, 15th, 16th) will be conducted using an 8-person single elimination match-play bracket (gross only) for each respective Flight.  A “Beatens” bracket will NOT be created this year.  Once you lose a match, you are “out”.  Tournament Committee reserves the right to disallow participation for those who do not have at least TEN 18-hole scores posted in the 2020 system.

  • Seniors (Ages 55 – 69), Super Seniors (Ages 70+)
  • Gross and Net
  • Individual play
  • 18 Holes
  • Stableford Scoring Format
    • 8 pts – Eagle or better
    • 4 pts – Birdie
    • 2 pts – Par
    • 1 pt – Bogey
    • 0 pts – Double Bogey or worse
  • Competition for *Men is from the White Tees, Women are from the Red Tees
  • *Use of the “HYBRID” tees will an option for male player

Prizes:

  • Pro -Shop Club Credit for Senior (Gross & Net), Super Senior (Gross & Net)
  • Number of places paid out will be based onnumber of individuals participating
